April 2020 VentureTel.app updates

We continue to make improvements to VentureTel.app, one little feature at a time.  In addition to several small bug fixes and minor user interface improvements the follow key features have been added. Mass/Bulk Texting - You can now add up to 10 recipients to a new message and each recipient will receive the message as an individual message - not a group message. Currently this is limited to 10 recipients - we want to hear your feedback about how this works and we'll continue to evaluate to determine if greater than 10 recipients is viable. The mass texting tool is not designed for mass marketing and especially not for sending SPAM texts - please note: SPAM texting is grounds for immediate suspension...

Debunking Common Misconceptions On Cloud Based VoIP

Voice over IP technology for business phone service has come a long way. As an alternative to regular telephones, VoIP allows the transmission of voice through the internet. To help businesses – small, medium and large – adopt cloud-based VoIP services, we will be debunking the misconceptions surrounding this technology. Myth #1. Not secure Unlike traditional...

Today’s Business Phone System Options

Most people are used to the old fixed telephone system, for instance, the one found in your accountant’s office. A fixed telephone links users throughout the office using multiple connections such that a receptionist is able to receive calls, schedule appointments for callers or send calls to the right person. Fixed telephones are controlled by big boxes in the equipment room that is dusty, expensive, and outdated. Fixed telephones were very useful in the past decade but have today been phased out by VoIP which is more technologically advanced. Hosted VoIP service provides a win-win situation for both the company and its clients. A company gains a variety of ways to reach out to its clients such as social media,...

VoIP Phone Service vs. Traditional Business Phone Service

Voice communication has been detaching itself from PSTN and moving towards VoIP recently. As a fact, while many users do not pay close attention, they may be using VoIP since most service providers have invested in upgrading their services. Both enterprise and consumer VoIP have witnessed growth and do not seem like they will slow down anytime soon. However, an average consumer may not be in a position to comprehend the difference between VoIP and other phone services. In due time, VoIP will become the standard protocol for phone services; it is, therefore, imperative that people understand what VoIP is and why it is growing in popularity. Consumer enterprise VoIP is different from the rest in as far as pricing,...

6 Reasons Why You Should Update Your Office Phone System to VoIP

It’s surprising how many companies are still using outdated business phone systems. For instance, can you remember when your phone system was installed? Five or maybe ten years ago? Well, basing on the fact that you don’t clearly remember, that suggests it's probably time to upgrade. Most companies in the United States are still running on the basic technology powering the Private Branch Exchange (PBX). The same PBX that was in use at the White House during the era of President Nixon, when he used to communicate with other international leaders using his “Red Phone.” If you are still trying to figure out this reference, then that shows how outdated your business phone system is. There has been a lot of changes...

Is your phone system slowing your growth?

No matter what stage your business is in you work hard to stay above your competitors. To do this you need a solid business plan that covers all aspects of the business. There are some things to help create a solid plan. Your old phone system can be holding the company back due to the fees and lack of technology. When designing a business plan for 2017 look at how successful your phone system was the previous year. For example are employees able to effective communicate with each other from remote locations? Maybe there had to be additional phone lines added which disrupted the daily activity of the business. When a business is looking to expand they should not have to worry about their phone system. The phone...
