How to create a new phone in RingMe.io Control Panel

To add a new IP Phone or other SIP phone (i.e. softphone) to your RingMe.io account, login as an administrative user to the RingMe.io Control Panel.  From the menu on the left select Devices.

To add a new device click the link “+ New Device” right below the Device List title.

The minimum requirements to setup a new device are to complete the Basic Info tab and SIP Settings tab.  The MAC address and Phone Model information are important only if you are using RingMe.io’s automated provisioner for provisioning your phone.

The SIP settings are the username and password information, that will be required to connect your device to your RingMe.io service.  It is important that these details be as complicated as possible.  It is also important that these details be kept secret.  The primary source of VoIP fraud is due to these details being compromised.
